10 Proven Ways to Improve Your Eyesight

Today more than ever we are using our eyes to stare at televisions, computers and cell phones. This results in eye exhaustion and eye problems are certainly increased more than in the past. However, there are ways you can sharpen your vision and maintain it in good shape. Just follow these tips.

 

1.Try not to exhaust your eyes. Once in every two –three hours close your eyes and enjoy this position for a few minutes.

2.The illustration below shows 16 well-known exercises you can do in order to give your eyes a workout. You should do them every day in the given order.

3.Do you wear glasses? If you do, take them off more often during the day if you can.

4.Massage your eyes using gentle circular movements. Make movements through points 1 to 6 as in the image below. Use your index and middle finger and don’t use too much pressure.

5.When you are outdoors try to look into the distance more often rather than focusing your eyes just in front of you.

6.We all know carrots are good for our eyesight so try to drink carrot juice more often, even daily if you can. To enjoy the best results add one or two drops of olive oil which will help you absorb the nutrients from the carrot more efficiently.

7.Whenever you feel your eyes are irritated , use aloe vera juice instead of regular eye drops. However, consult your doctor first.

8.Whenever you feel your eyes are tired wash them with warm water.

9.There is an Indian exercise for the eyes known as Trataka. It will help your mind and eyes to stay focused.

10.Before bedtime, or more particularly two hours before going to bed try not to stare at your phone, computer or TV.

 

Here is a good exercise for your eyes: its aim is to achieve a clear image of an object before your eyes become tired.

Sit down and face a small stationary object in an open space (for example a candle)

Focus your eyes and attention to it. Try not to blink and then slowly close your eyes. Focus your attention on the space between your eyebrows, keeping the image of the object in your head. Do this for at least 10 minutes.
