A heartbreak is something everyone of us has experienced at some point of our lives. It is a normal process that is usually seen as a chance to grow and become stronger. However we need to be careful with people and pay attention to those we are letting in our lives.

Not only has the heartbreak many effects on our emotional and mental well-being it also has effects on our physical health as well. Perhaps you are familiar with this if you have ever been through a heartbreak in your life.

In addition you will find a list of things a heartbreak can do to you. No matter how bad they are they all leave you feeling quite miserable, so be careful with your heart.

13 Things That Happen to You When Your Heart is Broken:

You Question Everything

You will probably go through a long time of questioning yourself if you could have done something to prevent things from happening the way they did. It’s normal since this is one of the many ways of grieving. However, don’t let yourself carried away with self-questioning.

You Feel Actual Pain

Experiencing physical pain might sound dramatic, but this actually happens, especially pain in the chest and other parts of your body. In fact, your brain recognizes intense emotional pain and believes that you are in physical pain because of it.

You Get Cramps

Your body will become more aware of aches and pains than normal. This is because your emotional pain is at such a high level, however, this is something that will pass in time.

You Might Even Get Sick

Being heartbroken can even make you vulnerable to viruses by affecting your immune system. So if you go through a heartbreak, try to lead healthier lifestyle: eat healthy foods and drink lots of water in order to strengthen your immune system.

You Might Lose Some Hair

If you are over stressed your hair may also get affected and you may notice some hair loss. Our bodies react differently, so this may be one of the ways your body reacts.

Your Period is Delayed

Your emotions are all kinds of messed up and this can affect everything. Your body’s biological clock will be extremely out of whack. When this happens relaxing is the most important thing you can do.

You Get Lonely

You will get this feeling of loneliness no matter where you are or who you are with. You can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely and that something is missing. All in all, the end of a romantic relationship is hard and it takes time to get used to the fact that you are no longer with that person anymore.

Your Eating Habits Change

There are two possible options: either you lose weight by simply losing your appetite, or you gain weight by embracing fast food and all type of food that comes in front of your eyes. Try to eat balanced and you won’t have any problems.

You Become Depressed

Feelings of overall numbness and sadness are usual for the period of heartbreak. You will feel like your whole world has changed.

You Develop Mixed Thoughts

You become confused on the inside. I for one seem to misplace things a lot more often when I am overly upset. The more worked up I get the more confusion that comes.

Your Heart Slows

It may sound strange, but when people go through a heartbreak, heart muscles can literally become weaker. If you feel intense chest pain, it’s not a bad idea to visit your doctor.

Your Sleeping Patterns Change

Some people cannot fall asleep while others can’t wake up. From my personal experience, when I’m heartbroken , I am unable to sleep but when I finally fall asleep I can’t get enough sleep.

You Become More Sensitive

This is absolutely normal and I believe everyone becomes more sensitive in this period. In fact, you are like a ticking time bomb, even the smallest thing can set you off. You just don’t react to things the same. This is because of the emotional buildup.

Allergies and allergy related health issues, as well as food intolerance are increasingly taking their place in modern society in both children and adults.

Doctors say that this comes as a result of the exaggerated obsession everything to be perfectly clean as well as the overprotective attitude of parents towards their children. In this way they don’t come into contact with certain microbes that are vital for proper functioning of the immune system.

Doctors claim that by the time of 2021 all children will have experienced some kind of a health issue since their birth. A lot of doctors say that having pets in the home protects the children from getting asthma. A pet is also recommended for children who suffer from dermatitis.

If children grow up in the company of a pet, especially of a dog, they are exposed to bacteria since early age and this is the reason why they develop a strong immune system and are more resistant to allergies and similar health problems.

It is little known that allergies appear as a result of fast food, smoking and mobile phones radiation especially at present time. In the past you had to have genetic predispositions to develop an allergy. Now that’s not the case.

Hygiene is also a factor for causing various diseases, but not just the bad one, the good hygiene can also cause diseases. According to research, people in poor countries don’t suffer from diseases of people in more developed countries.

Namely, in the places where there is parasites exposure because of bad hygiene conditions , diseases can develop, but not allergies, asthma and autoimmune diseases. In other hand, in rich countries almost every second person has one of these problems.

This theory explains that sometimes, we don’t need to be afraid of the dirty and let our children play outside because in this way their immune system will become stronger and they won’t become ill very often.

Sleep disorders are constantly becoming more frequent issues among people. More precisely, up to 70 million Americans suffers from insomnia or other sleep related issue.

Not enough sleep can negatively affect your overall health , productivity and quality of life. We give you these 10 tips on how to fall asleep faster:

Bring On The Black

Bright lights keep our brain in wake mode, while darkness sends all kinds of signals to our brain that it’s time to relax and fall asleep. If there is no way to make your room completely dark, you should consider buying a good quality eye mask. These masks are very practical and they will help you completely wind down and melt into their softness where you can start dreaming right away.

Tune Out

Besides bright lights, noise is another factor that keeps us awake. It can be very annoying, especially when you are feeling tired. Invest in some soft sleep headphones that will block out sounds that distract you from sleeping. Another option is to play some relaxing music, meditations or nature sounds that will help you calm down and fall asleep.

Try The 4-7-8 Trick

4-7-8 is a breathing technique that was introduced by Dr. Andrew Weil. It is one of the easiest and most effective ways to access instant calm. You just need to inhale through your nose for a count of 4, gently hold this breath for 7 counts and exhale slowly for another count of 8.

This yogic breathing method soothes the mind and stimulates the release of feel-good chemicals in your brain. Relaxation is essential to keep your mind relaxed since stress is one of the major reasons for sleep disorders.

Keep An Essential Oil Kit

Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years as an effective sleep remedy. Various essential oils like lavender, neroli, orange, roman chamomile and petitgrain are considered to be powerful sleep aids. Aromatherapy induces calmness by working on emotional, psychological and biochemical levels. There is a direct effect of the essential oils on our brain and the nervous system: this results in releasing natural chemicals and feel-good endorphins. Our sense of smell is very powerful and also builds an ‘association’ with sleepy calm if we use it consistently before nap time.

Helpful Herbs To Use On-The-Go

We are all familiar of the positive effects of a warm chamomile tea, especially on our sleep. However, brewing a cup of tea in the middle of the night when you are away from home isn’t always possible. Fortunately, many sleep-inducing herbs are now available in the form of supplements. If you have trouble falling asleep, an herbal tablet containing valerian, chamomile, passionflower or hops will help you nod off in no time. However you need to be careful since some meds do interact with these herbs and hops, valerian and passionflower aren’t recommended for prolonged, regular use.

Hang Your Worries On A Worry Tree

A lot of experts suggest writing down any anxious thoughts or creating a to do list before going to bed. However, this won’t be a solution if you are away from home or you need sleep fast. An alternative to this would be visualizing a beautiful tree with deep spreading roots and expansive foliage. Imagine you transfer your worries from your mind onto its branches. Imagine this tree is keeping you safe while sleeping and guarding your thoughts and worries .

Savour A Sleepy-Time Snack

Did you know that a light snack containing low glycemic index carbohydrate can help us get to sleep? Such foods may help our brains to produce serotonin, a neurotransmitter that makes us feel relaxed and happy. So before you go to bed try eating healthy oatmeal biscuit, a banana or handful of blueberries. In general, have a light snack. We all know that eating too much will strain your digestive system and actually interfere with your quality of sleep.

Find Your Sleepy Acupressure Points

Acupressure is another technique that can help you if you have sleep disorders. It is natural, safe and applicable anywhere and anytime. In general there are two acupressure points that can be pressed to help you fall asleep.

Firstly, find the small indent at the top of your nose and between your eyebrows. Apply light pressure with your fingers for a minute before sleep. You can also press the sole of your foot, approximately one third from the tips of your toes, for a similar effect.

Catch Yourself Catastrophizing

We are alone with our thoughts before we go to sleep, so it is easy for our mind to start overthinking, worrying and even creating ‘catastrophizing’ thoughts.

Worrying late at night is actually a waste of time : when we wake up and face the feared situation, 9 times out of 10 it’s not the big deal that we thought it was. Whenever you have any thoughts of this kind coming through your mind just say to yourself: ‘STOP. No, no, no. We’re not going to deal with this right now.’ With regular reinforcement, your mind will start to listen!

Now that you’ve read all of the tips, try implementing some and stop your sleep disorder. Be patient and you will be amazed by the results.

We’ve all felt anxious sometimes in our lives. Anxiety is that panicky feeling you get before something big happens like a job interview, travelling, moving to a new place etc. Your heart beats faster and your palms start to sweat.

However ,this could not only happen when you are cared or exited for something. This could be a part of your everyday life. You might feel oversensitive all the time and cry more, you might having hard time to fall asleep or concentrate because your heartbeat and thoughts are racing.

Highly sensitive people tend to be more creative and have active minds , but they are more vulnerable to anxiety, meaning that they can easily form all kinds of negative fantasies that only makes anxiety worse.

If you belong to these kind of people just

Remember these 10 things when you feel anxious:

 1. Your anxiety is just one part of the package.

Don’t be harsh on yourself for being who you are. Being highly sensitive also has its advantages and good sides: You may be more considerate and creative, notice things that others can’t see . learn new things quickly and show more compassion to other people’s problems.

 1. Like the weather, feelings change.

Feelings aren’t permanent. What you feel now, you won’t feel in an hour , day or a week. Like all things, those scary and anxious feelings in your head will eventually pass.

 1. Talk to someone.

Anxiety usually links to loneliness ,so you need to be surrounded with more people and talk to someone you trust to get all out there. When you share the feelings and situation you are dealing with, you will feel better. Also, having to explain your fears to someone else might be very helpful because then you realize if those fears are realistic or not.

 1. Set clearer boundaries in your relationships.

If your relationships are making you anxious, get rid of the source of your anxiety. You need to set firmer boundaries or even break the relationship. Don’t feel bad about it if it causes you stress.

 1. Don’t run away from what’s scaring you.

Your anxiety will only become worse if you avoid situations or people that cause it. Be brave and face them. Remind yourself it’s only fear and you will get through it.

 1. You can’t control what happens in life, but you can control (or learn tools to control) how you react.

Dr. Hans Selye, a physician who is considered the “father” of the field of stress research, writes, “It’s not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it.”

 1. Your anxiety doesn’t actually accomplish anything.

It wastes time and doesn’t get you any closer to your life’s goals. “Anxiety’s like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you very far,” writes author Jodi Picoult.

 1. Try relaxation techniques.

Exercising, meditation, breathing techniques and yoga are some of the things you could try to calm down anxiety. Listen to relaxing music, drink a cup of chamomile tea, indulge in your favorite book. Inhale deeply, hold your breath for a moment and exhale. It always works when having anxiety attacks.

 1. Keep things in perspective.

Don’t exaggerate the situations in your mind and don’t make worse than they really are. Dr. Steve Maraboli, author and behavioral science academic, writes, “I promise you nothing is as chaotic as it seems. Nothing is worth your health. Nothing is worth poisoning yourself into stress, anxiety and fear.”

 1. It’s really going to be OK.

Author and motivational speaker Danielle LaPorte writes, “P.S. You’re not going to die. Here’s the white-hot truth: if you go bankrupt, you’ll still be OK. If you lose the gig, the lover, the house, you’ll still be OK. If you sing off-key, get beat by the competition, have your heart shattered, get fired…it’s not going to kill you. Ask anyone who’s been through it.”

We use various consumer products for different purposes daily. Although we sometimes think that these products can last forever, that’s not true. A lot of them have expiration dates. They need replacing from time to time in order to protect our health or the safety of our family. For instance, we should replace shoes, towels and car seats regularly.

Find out what household items you were not aware of , have expiration dates:

18 Household Items that Have Expiration Dates

Pantry

 1. Power Strips: 1-2 Years

If the fire extinguisher is damaged, for example there are some cracks in the hose, you have to repair it immediately or replace it.

 1. Disinfectants: 3 Months

Disinfectants lose their effectiveness after three months of use.

 1. Mosquito Repellents: 2 Years

Don’t bother protecting yourself by using a mosquito repellent that is more than 2 years old. You need to buy one every year.

 1. Power Strips: 1-2 Years

These strips are found at the electrical center of the home. You plug everything there starting from your tablet to the electric kettle. However, power strips have their limitations , so if you exceed their capacity it may lead to some problem. Take caution.

Kitchen

 1. Spices: 1-3 Years

Ground spices should not be kept for more than 6 months. Be aware that spices lose their smell and taste after a period of time.

 1. Flour: 6-12 Months

High-grade flour can be kept up to a year while first-grade flour for 6 months.

Wardrobe

 1. Bra: 1 to 2 Years

Most of the bras maintain their original shape up to a year or two. We must mention that there are extra quality bras that are more expensive, but can last longer. As soon as your bra loses its elasticity and shape, it’s time to buy a new one.

 1. Running Shoes: 1 Year

The cushioning of the running shoes starts breaking approximately at 250 – 300 miles of running. This causes stress to the joints, so no matter how much money you’ve spent on that pair of running shoes, it’s best you replace them once a year.

Nursery

 1. Child Car Seats: 6-10 Years

Very often parents use the same child car seat from their first child, no matter how old it is. However, over time the seat loses its elasticity, and the foam deteriorates so it’s best to buy a new on instead of using a secondhand one.

 1. Pacifier: 2-5 Weeks

It’s very important to replace latex pacifiers regularly. Over time latex breaks and the cracks breed germs that can be harmful for your baby.

Dresser

 1. Hairbrush: 1 Year

Brushes should be cleaned thoroughly once a week and replaced once a year. If you own a hairbrush with natural boar bristle you need to buy a new one every 7-10 months.

 1. Perfume & Eau De Toilette: 1-3 Years

Eau de toilette is good for 2 years when stored opened and 4 years if closed. On the other hand, perfumes which contain essential oils can last for 3 years when they are stored closed and 2 years if they are opened. So don’t save your perfume next time you are going out because it won’t last forever.

Bathroom

 1. Sponge: 2 Weeks & Shower Pouf: 6 Months

We are all aware of the fact that shower utensils can breed fungus and mold. If you want to kill bacteria on them, boil them in hot water. You mustn’t use expired poufs and sponges to clean your body.

 1. Toothbrush: 3 Months

If you want to maintain a good oral hygiene, replace your toothbrush every three months. Also, after you have had a flu or cold it’s necessary to buy a new brush as a prevention from getting sick again.

 1. Hydrogen Peroxide: 2 Months

The chemical solution degrades into the water after a while, and this is the reason why you should replace the bottle every 2 months.

 1. Towel: 1-3 Years

Did you know that damp towels are a perfect environment for bacteria growth? Even if you wash the towels, if they are fermented , you won’t solve the problems and they will still have bacteria on them.

Bedroom

 1. Pillows: 2-3 years

First, it loses it’s shape and second it becomes a home for dust mites over the time. So, you need to replace your sleeping pillow every 2 or 3 years.

 1. Slippers: 6 Months

We all love to wear our cozy slippers in the comfort of our homes. Unfortunately, they can be a perfect environment for fungal infections. Wash them as often as possible and try to replace them every 6 months.

From now on you know what you should replace from time to time. If you follow the advice we gave you, you will protect your health and the health of those who surround you.

The post According To Psychologists, These Phrases Should Not Be Used In Conversations With Children appeared first on Good Health Talk.

Being a parent is a very genuine and responsible job. If we can define it as a job. Parents are the ones who shape their kids into the persons they are going to be when they grow up. Children need to feel loved and respected so they can have a happy childhood. Parents are role models to their children, so they must be careful what they do or say in front of them. Their words and actions can have tremendous influence on the psyche of the children, so they must not use these phrases when talking to them:

 • Stop crying immediately

Children can often start crying if they did something wrong and are aware of that. Crying expresses how they feel, so if you say this phrase to them, it will teach them to suppress their emotions. Instead of saying stop crying immediately, explain them nicely why they did a mistake and let them know that it is alright to express their emotions.

 • You are a disappointment

It sounds rough even for adults, let alone for children. By saying this phrase , you are making your child feel responsible for your own disappointment. Encourage your child to follow the right path when it starts making wrong choices or mistakes. Try to explain them what it did wrong and why. Explain what the mistake was and encourage your child to do better.

 • You are worthless

This is something you must never tell to your child. You are the person they usually seek approval of, so if you say this to them, your children will start looking approval from the outside world. They will start believing that they have nothing worthy.

Instead of using this phrase, let them know that you believe he/she can do better next time.

 • Something/you are not enough

These words tell your child that he/she lacks something. He/she will start believing that they are not enough and will not be able to become what they want to without this.

Motivate your child to try harder because practice makes perfect.

 • Big boys or big girls don’t get scared

This is obviously a lie and you as a parent know it. This phrase suppresses a feeling. Instead, tell your child that is ok to be scared sometimes because everyone gets scared. It would be nice if you tell your child that he/she is your little hero that can find the courage to do the right thing in a scary situation.

The peanut butter cup was created by H.B. Reese in 1928. He was a dairy farmer who abandoned dairy farming to start the Harry Burnett Reese Candy Co. in the basement of his house in Hershey Pennsylvania.

After his death in 1956, his candy company was took over by his six sons. They merged the company with the Hershey Chocolate Corp in 1963 receiving 666,316 common stocks valued at $23.5 million dollars in 1963.

Currently there are twenty types of Reese’s peanut butter cups. We are not questioning the original ingredients of this product in the past, but over time they got changed and are causing controversy.

For instance instead of cocoa butter, PGPR (Polyglycerol polyricinoleate) is used as a substitute. Although it is approved by the FDA as safe, it can cause some heath problems like liver enlargement if consumed in higher doses.

The other ingredients found in the b=peanut buttercup are : chocolate, no fat milk, salt, milk fat, peanuts, sugars, citric acid, lecithin, cocoa butter , lactose, PGRP, soy, dextrose and TBHQ.

 1. Soy Lecithin

A high percent of the soy used in the USA is GMO (genetically modified) More precisely, it’s 93% genetically modified. Soy lecithin can cause serious health problems and it has negative effects on reproduction and fertility. It can trigger the development of breast cancer cells and it may even cause serious cerebral and behavioral problems.

 1. PGPR

Polyglycerol polyricinoleate is used as a substitute for cocoa butter because it costs less money. PGRP is obtained from castor beans, and it reduces the viscosity of chocolate. According to various studies, this substance can cause allergies and gastrointestinal problems in children.

 1. TBHQ

Tertiary butylhidroquinone is also a toxic substance that is obtained from petroleum. It can cause some side effects such as vomiting, nausea, delirium and even collapse. Some research shows that it can severely damage the lungs and even cause stomach cancer. In children this ingredient causes restlessness, anxiety and intensified ADHD symptoms.

Homemade organic peanut butter cups

We all agree that Reese’s peanut butter cup’s taste is amazing, but you don’t want to put your health at risk. So why don’t you try a healthier alternative instead? If you love the taste of peanut butter you can buy organic one or you can just prepare it yourself.

This is the recipe we offer you:

Ingredients

 • 12 muffin tin liners
 • 1 cup of organic peanut butter
 • 12 ounces of organic dark chocolate
 • 1/4 cup of raw honey
 • 1/4 teaspoon of organic salt

Preparation:

 1. Trim the muffin cups to make them shallow.
 2. Melt the dark chocolate over steam for 1-2 minutes, but don’t overcook it.
 3. Use a teaspoon to pour the melted chocolate into the muffin cups and freeze them.
 4. Mix the honey, salt and peanut butter in a separate bowl. Heat the mixture in a small saucepan.Don’t use high heat.
 5. Pour the peanut butter mixture into the frozen cups, but make sure you leave a tiny bit of space at the top for another chocolate layer.
 6. Put the cups in the fridge for 10 minutes and then flatten the butter. Put them in the fridge for another hour.
 7. By now your chocolate has become hard again, so you need to rewarm it. Add another layer over your cups. Put the cups back in your fridge.

The delicious homemade peanut butter cups are ready! Go organic and enjoy! Check the video below : it is a vegan-friendly version of the same recipe :

The post Do You Know The Danger Of Turning On The A/C After Starting The Engine? appeared first on Good Health Talk.

]]>

Did you know that it’s not recommended to turn on the A/C right away when you enter the car? You need to open the windows first and after a few minutes you can turn on the A/C.

Research shows that all of the plastic objects in the car : the car’s dashboard, seats, A/C ducts etc. emit a very harmful toxin Benzene that can cause cancer.

Prolonged exposure increases the risk of getting some types of cancers and can also cause leukemia.

This toxic substance Benzene was used in various studies for laboratory animals and people. Based on the evidence from the studies benzene causes cancer.

Workers exposed to high levels of benzene, especially those working in the chemical, shoemaking, and oil refining industries, showed higher rates of risk for leukemia , particularly acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Medical explanation:

Before it starts to cool the air, the air conditioner ejects all the heated air out, and the benzene with it. As we already said, it is a very dangerous toxin.

So, right after you enter the car and you notice a smell of heated plastic, open the windows for several minutes and then turn on the A/C. Leave the windows open for several minutes more when you turn on the car.

You must start practicing this so that you can protect yourself and everyone around you from toxins. The consequences can be fatal.

Whenever we leave our cars outside, we close the windows. However, when we leave the car in the shade, it accumulates 400-800 mg of benzene.

When it is parked in the sun the temperature in the car gets quite high , the level of benzene can increase to 2000-4000 mg and that is 40 times more than the permitted level.

When you sit in the car with closed windows, you inhale the benzene when in fact it affects your kidneys, liver and bone tissue and kidneys. Our organism needs a lot of time to eliminate it.

According to car’s manuals we should open the car’s windows before turning on the A/C, but they don’t tell you why.

We hope that this article will open your eyes and make you more aware in the future.

Flies are the most annoying insects, especially during the summer days. They constantly multiply so it’s not very easy to get rid of them. Don’t worry because there are some very effective natural ways to get rid of these disturbing insects that are constantly around us.

If you know what are their weaknesses you can easily eliminate them.

Flies don’t stand the smell of strong scents, so essential oils and herbs that have strong smell can serve as natural insect repellents.

We suggest 4 ways to naturally repel flies:

 1. Cloves and Lemon

Cloves have strong smell and flies hate that. Moreover, if you combine them with lemon, you will get nothing more than a safe and powerful natural fly repellent. What is the method of preparing the repellent? Just cut the lemon into halves and stick the cloves into the pulp. After you place the lemon in your room or the place where flies come more often, they will stop appearing.

 1. Lavender Essential Oil

Due to its intensive smell, lavender can also be an effective bug repellent. You can use it on a sponge, and make it spill-proof.

You need to get:

 • One sponge – the size is optional
 • Jar or can with a lid
 • Lavender essential oil

Apply several drops of lavender essential oil on the sponge, and then place it into the jar. Close the jar tightly, and leave it overnight for the smell to concentrate. Place the jar whenever you consider it will be most effective and open the lid a bit so that the smell keep flies away.

 1. DIY Fly Repellent Spray

Another successful way of getting rid of flies is by making your own repellent spray. Try to avoid commercial repelling sprays because they are full of toxic content. Instead, use this natural version:

 • 1 cup of water
 • 1 spray bottle
 • 10-12 drops of each: Peppermint and Lemongrass essential oils
 • 2 tablespoons of diluted liquid dish soap

Take the spray bottle and fill it with the dish soap and the cup of water. Then, add the essential oils. Close the spray bottle, shake to stir it, and spray all over your house. To prevent flies or other insects from coming into your house again, spray this mixture in every 2 weeks.

 1. DIY Fly Trap

Yes, you can prepare your own fly trap. You will need to make a mixture of dish soap and apple cider vinegar in a Mason jar. Other simpler way is to put a rotten fruit in a bowl , cover with plastic wrap and make a several holes in it.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is fermented apple juice so when you add the dish soap, the surface tension of the liquid breaks and the flies sink as soon as they touch it.

You will need:

 • Mason jar
 • Toothpick
 • Plastic wrap
 • A tablespoon of liquid dish soap
 • 2 cups of apple cider vinegar

Add the liquid soap and vinegar into the mason jar. Then, put a piece of plastic wrap over the mouth of the jar and make punctures by using a toothpick.

You can place the fly trap in the yard or in the house. Its powerful odor and light will attract the flies to enter the trap.

The plastic wrap will be as a wall, so the flies won’t be able to find the holes and escape, as there will be no strong smell from outside to attract them again. Clean the jar as soon as there are a lot of dead flies.

The other form of trap with the overripe or rotten fruit won’t kill the flies, but they will be successfully trapped. Plus, it is much easier to make it:

You will need:

 • Bowl
 • Scissors
 • Rotten fruit
 • Toothpick
 • Plastic wrap

Chop the rotten fruit (you can also peel it ). Place it in the bowl and cover with the plastic wrap. Make holes using the toothpick and as soon as the trap is full of flies, destroy them by placing the bowl into soapy water for several minutes. Wash and use it again if necessary.

The definition of successful is not something defined by society, but by your own perception. The most common perception is whether you achieve your goals or not. Time management often determines whether we succeed in achieving our goals. We can either waste time on nonsense or we can use it to its maximum. What will you choose: to wander about aimlessly, or fulfill your goals?

In order to understand this, we will remind you of several things that you need to avoid if you want to be successful

HERE ARE 9 UNPRODUCTIVE HABITS THAT SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE AVOID:

 1. TECHNOLOGY DISTRACTIONS

We must govern the technology and we shouldn’t allow technology govern us. Technology has become part of our every day lives. Unfortunately people got so attached to it that it’s almost like an addiction. Productive people don’t waste hours on Facebook or any other social media platform. If you want to manage your time well, just exercise self discipline and use social media to get informed, not to spend all of your day reading someone’s statuses.

 1. NOT HAVING A PLAN AND BEING DISORGANIZED

“Failing to plan is planning to fail.” – Correct – You don’t need to plan in details and for a very long time. To – do list is perfectly fine. Find an organizational method that suits you and stick to it.

 1. GIVING THEMSELVES TOO MUCH WORK

Successful people have a good work ethic and are aware of their limitations. They don’t allow to be weighted down with voluntary assignments. It’s just not good time-management skill.

 1. NOT BEING FOCUSED

It is not a good habit to constantly shift your priorities. A focused individual is one that knows the first, second, and third things to be done at any given time.

 1. LEAVING THINGS UNFINISHED

Successful and productive people always finish the things they’ve started. You know the saying : “Never put off till to-morrow what you can do to-day.”

 1. WORKING TOO LATE

We have all done this. Working late can happen occasionally , or if your employer asks you to. However, if you impose yourself working hours and you’re always late getting something done, you may want to look at your schedule.

 1. POOR LISTENING

Being dismissive or inattentive of new ideas or opinions is a bad habit. You should always listen and pay attention; both skills will allow you to accumulate knowledge much faster than the others.

 1. GOING IT ALONE

Missed opportunities may arise from not spending enough time to converse or collaborate with someone. Not collaborating implies to others that you prefer “going it alone,” or putting too much work on your shoulders

 1. ALLOWING UNNECESSARY INTERRUPTIONS

Did you know that it takes the average person 25 minutes to return to the original task once disrupted?

Tips: Learn how to say “no” or “I’m working,” put up a notice (on your desk, cubicle, etc.), set aside a block of time to address things that may disrupt your day.
