It’s widely known that walnuts heal various diseases and they are really helpful for problems with thyroid gland, throat, bronchitis and for boosting the immune system.
Folk medicine recommends the so called green liqueur for treating anaemia, stomachaches, boosting the metabolism and food digestion.
- 40 young walnuts
- 1 kg of honey
- 1 liter of alcohol (40%)
Method of preparation
In order to protect your hands from coloring put some gloves on and cut the walnuts. Then, put the walnuts into a larger jar of glass and pour the honey and alcohol over them. Close the jar and let it stay under sun for 40 days. Once in a while stir the mixture using a plastic spoon.
How do you consume it?
Take one teaspoon every morning on an empty stomach. This liqueur is rich in iodine and that’s why it is good for all kinds of illnesses connected to the thyroid gland. Before serving you must stir it. You can also serve it as an aperitif along with ice cubes and slices of lemon.
